Carly Godzdanker, MS, OTR/L
Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Carly Godzdanker is an experienced pediatric occupational therapist with over 15 years of supporting children through all stages of development. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her Master’s in Occupational Therapy at the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her final rotation at The Children’s Hospital in Denver where she grew her private practice and family, and has now moved both to Georgia!

Carly contracted directly with Colorado’s Early Intervention program for 10 years, providing in-home therapy to children from birth to three with challenges such as prematurity, developmental delays, feeding difficulties, behavioral concerns, Cerebral Palsy, and Autism. Carly believes in the power of early intervention to establish a strong developmental foundation and is passionate about equipping parents with the tools and knowledge to support their children’s growth. Her commitment to family-centered care has shown her that working with children in their natural environments yields the most powerful and meaningful results.

In addition to her early intervention work, Carly spent 11 years at Boulder Community Hospital’s Pediatric Rehabilitation Department, treating children from infancy through adolescence in a clinic setting.

She collaborated closely with speech therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, and behavioral therapists, to provide comprehensive care. She is a master at creating customized sensory gym experiences to support self regulation and motor development, as well as a master in the kitchen turning anxious, picky eaters into confident mealtime participants through engaging, playful feeding therapy. Carly founded BCH’s Food Explorer’s Camp and has led numerous feeding therapy groups, creating a lasting impact on families in the community.
Carly also served on the hospital’s multi-disciplinary Autism evaluation team, where she became proficient at identifying early signs of Autism and providing families with compassionate guidance through the diagnostic process.
Beyond Carly’s professional experience, she brings a personal understanding to living with a family member with special needs as her older brother, Scott, has Fragile X Syndrome. She knows firsthand the joys and struggles that come with supporting a loved one with special needs and is committed to helping families find strength and resilience with the right support and mindset. Carly’s empathy and insight are further captured in the book she published when she was 16 years old - My eXtra Special Brother: How to Love, Understand, and Celebrate Living with a Sibling with Special Needs.
Carly now resides in East Cobb with her husband, two young daughters, and puppy. She spends her free time hiking, camping, and snowboarding with her family and friends.
